Membership Fees:
 Primary membership is $75.00 per year, each additional family member is $35.00.
 Youth individual membership (17 and under) is $40.00
 Associate membership fee for those living outside Juneau is $35.00
 Membership year is October 1st – September 30th.
 Prorated memberships are available after July 1st at a reduced cost

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all shooting events. The Juneau Gun Club reserves the right to refuse service to any person(s). The JGC is a non-profit organization operated by the membership. All members are encouraged to participate and assist in the operation and maintenance of the club.

If any of the participating persons are under eighteen years of age, parent, guardian, or custodian must sign a indemnification provided by the Juneau Gun Club.

This is a release of liability and waiver of certain legal rights. Please read carefully before signing.

Each member and guest of the Juneau Gun Club must complete this form. You may copy this form if needed. Additional copies are also available at the Juneau Gun Club.

In consideration for my being permitted to participate in the activities of The Juneau Gun Club, I agree to the following;

I acknowledge that, all outdoor sports and activities as well as target shooting has inherent risks, hazards, and dangers for anyone that cannot be eliminated, particularly in a wilderness environment. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS INCLUDE WITHOUT LIMITATION:

1. The risk of handling firearms and being near others that have firearms in their possession
2. The risk of injury from ammunition and shot from other guns
3. Inclement weather conditions

I understand the risks, hazards and dangers as described above. I understand that these activities may require good physical conditioning and a degree of skill and knowledge. I believe I have that good physical conditioning and the degree of skill and knowledge necessary for me to engage in these activities safely. I understand that I have responsibilities. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary. No one is forcing me to participate and I elect to participate in spite of the risks. I AM VOLUNTARILY USING THE SERVICES OF THE JUNEAU GUN CLUB WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF THE INHERENT RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS INVOLVED AND HEREBY ASSUME AND ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY, PARALYSIS, OR DEATH.

For and in consideration of being allowed to participate, I for myself, my heirs, successors, executors, and subrogees, hereby KNOWINGLY AND INTENTIONALLY WAIVE AND RELEASE, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE JUNEAU GUN CLUB, their directors, officers, agents, employee, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, actions, causes of action, liabilities, suits, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) which are related to arise out of, or are in any way connected with my participation in this activity including but not limited to, NEGLIGENCE of any kind or nature, whether foreseen or unforeseen, arising directly or indirectly out of any damage, loss, injury, paralysis, or death to me or my property as a result of my engaging in these activities or the use of these services, animals or equipment, whether such damage, loss, injury, paralysis, or death results from negligence of THE JUNEAU GUN CLUB , their directors, officers, agents, employee, and volunteers or from some other cause. I, for myself, my heirs, my successors, executors, and subrogee, further agree not to sue THE JUNEAU GUN CLUB their directors, officers, agents, employee, and volunteers as a result of any injury, paralysis, or death suffered in connection with my use and participation in the activities of THE JUNEAU GUN, their directors, officers, agents, employee, and volunteers. I agree follow all posted rules, as well as those given by the directors, officers, employees and volunteers of the JUNEAU GUN CLUB including but not limited to the following:

1. The JUNEAU GUN CLUB is a shotgun only range.
2. Gun actions / breaches will remain open at all times when handled.
3. Do not load until you are on your shooting station.
4. Load only 1 shell at a time for single targets, and a maximum of 2 for doubles and wobbles.
5. Re-open actions immediately after shooting, and before leaving a station.
6. Never shoot under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
7. Shooters must wear eye and ear protection.
8. Use target loads only with no shot size larger than 7-1/2.
9. Confirm your gun is safe to operate.
10. Never leave your gun unattended.
11. Do not leave empty shell casings on the ground.
12. Misfired or dud shells are to be kept in the shooters possession or placed in the marked bin at the
clubhouse; at no time should an unfired shell be placed in waste bins.
13. Shooters must load from a standing position (No loading from shell boxes on the ground). Pouches are
available on request.
14. Upon the call of “CEASE FIRE” stop shooting and unload until you are instructed to resume shooting.
15. Only shooters, staff, and officials are allowed on the trap field. Observers must remain behind the rock
wall at all times.
16. Use of the pattern board is only allowed when trap 4 is not in use.
17. Patterning of hunting loads is allowed on the wooden patterning board only.
18. No one under the age of age of sixteen (16) years old shall shoot or handle firearms without adult
supervision.
19. Special shooting competitions or “games” which alter the shooting stations or typical firing line, shall not
be commenced without the permission of a club official.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ, CLEARLY UNDERSTAND, AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THIS
WAIVER AND RELEASE AGREEMENT.
